Suresh Kuchipudi is a clinical professor of veterinary and biomedical sciences and interim director of Penn State’s Animal Diagnostic Laboratory, where he is head of the microbiology, overseeing bacteriology, virology, serology and molecular diagnostic units. Kuchipudi’s current research interests involve several important veterinary and zoonotic viruses such as pox diseases, including monkeypox, goat pox and sheep pox; coronaviruses, including COVID-19; influenza A; flaviviruses; and herpes viruses.
